Having read
Marla Jo Fisher’s OC Register article on severe doubts about the color she had
painted her house, I called Susan using the information that was posted in the
article. At the time, my kitchen was
down to studs, and I was supposed to select colors for cabinets, walls and floors. My selection of colors is always boring,
everything the same color as before and monochromatic. Susan came to the house and I explained that
the adjoining room was not being changed and I need to select colors. From the colors I already had in the
adjoining living room – dining room, she selected a color. (I had hired a decorator for these rooms so
they had color.) I fussed with her
selection and asked that she select a peach because I had decorated the other
rooms based on that color. She found a
color that worked. She then asked me if
I would like a color punch on the back wall of the kitchen and I said yes.
When I bought the paint, I decided to try her first selection instead and brought home a sample. It did look good and I started painting. The more I painted the more I saw what she saw, the color blended all the other colors so much better and gave an elegance to the rooms. So glad I did not keep the peach! The color compliments the furniture colors and the oak bookcase and staircase. It is perfect! Next was the back wall of the kitchen. She had picked Louisburg Green. I really like the color and like the contrast. My husband was not thrilled that I had paid someone to tell me what color to paint the walls. However, after seeing the Louisburg Green wall, he changed his mind. Susan is now acknowledged as the person to see before buying paint. Alyce ~ San Clemente |
The painting turned out wonderful!!!!!! I'm very pleased . Thank you so much for your help. It's made such a wonderful difference in the whole place. It's now nice and bright .
Kari ~ Irvine After repeated efforts of painting samples for the outside of my house, I was more confused then ever! I decided I just couldn't do this on my own. I was looking for colors to enhance the river rock on the front of my home. I called Susan, and within an hour we had the complete color scheme worked out. I was amazed at how quickly she knew what would look good on my home. After the house was painted, I had several neighbors comment on how wonderful the house looked. Susan relieved me over the anxiety of this decision, and I couldn't be more pleased! Lisa ~ Huntington Beach Fantastic experience! We now feel confident in our color choices. Susan showed us how the color placement was as important as the color itself. In a little over an hour we looked at various color palettes and worked out 5 colors for our 2 story house. We now have two beautiful color accent walls, a complimentary white and yellow along with color for our stair ballusters. Can't wait to get started on the painting. Definitely recommend anyone to go through this process....a very small investment for a very large payoff. Elissa ~ Monarch Beach |
When I do an upgrade or think of painting my house, I always try to keep it simple, forever thinking of the potential buyer of my home. I have here lived 30 years & 20 of those years my house has been various shades of respectable beige.
And then a contractor introduced me to Susan & suddenly my life became Technicolor & a little bit daring! So I opened my eyes & took the leap and have been so grateful to her ever since. Susan understands color, design & people as well. My home is small. You can almost see every room by standing in the living room. I also had the corners curved which added an additional problem. Where does 1 room/color end & the other begin? She deftly solved the problem before I knew I had a problem. Susan will put a smile on your face & color in your life. Save yourself 12 little cans of paint & call her. Nadine ~ Irvine We are beyond thrilled with the end result and owe it all to Susan! Even our painter said it was the nicest color combo he'd ever seen. He even brought a friend over to see it! We cannot thank her enough! Angella and Andy - Corona |
